Voting Problems Reported in Idaho
On Friday, the Idaho Statesman reported on a mishandled ballot at an early voting station in Canyon County. According to the article, “the ballot was filled out – at least partly – by one voter and returned to a poll worker, who then mistakenly handed it to another voter entering the polling station.”
The importance of poll workers to the voting process is something that was discussed in a white paper I co-authored in 2008 (see below).

Leadership Development Evaluation Special Issue
The August 2010 issue of The Leadership Quarterly is devoted to leadership development evaluation. The special issue is edited by Kelly M. Hannum, Ph.D. of the Center for Creative Leadership and S. Bartholomew Craig, Ph.D. of North Carolina State University and includes the following seven articles:
- “Evaluating leadership coaching: A review and integrated framework”
- “Social network analysis and the evaluation of leadership networks”
- ““Sorting Out” collective leadership: How Q-methodology can be used to evaluate leadership development”
- “Estimating return on leadership development investment”
- “Hierarchical linear modeling as an example for measuring change over time in a leadership development evaluation context”
- “Leader self-development: A contemporary context for leader development evaluation”
- “The evaluation of two key leadership development program components: Leadership skills assessment and leadership mentoring”
While I haven’t finished the entire issue, I did find “Estimating return on leadership development investment” and “Evaluating leadership coaching: A review and integrated framework” very informative.
